Our School District-Sponsored Extended School Year (ESY) Camp is a great option for school districts and families needing to continue their student’s learning into the summer. The Sensational ESY Camp serves individuals ages 5 through high school graduation in our instructional and recreational based program. This camp serves individuals with a variety of moderate disabilities, in addition to autism. During Summer 2024, districts are able to register for three separate sessions – a 3-week session (for high school and middle school students) and two 2-week sessions (one for high school and middle school students, and the other for high school and elementary students).

Our Program Team including the Director of Camp Programs, Intervention Specialist, Speech Language Pathologist, and Occupational Therapist design schedules based on each student’s unique individualized education plan (IEP) needs. Students will work daily on their IEP goals with assistance from their counselor and Intervention Specialist. Weekly activities include arts and crafts, sports, swimming, music, and visits to the horse barn, in addition to their curriculum needs.

  • Sensational ESY Camp is Monday through Friday
  • Hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Cost is $1,800/week. Districts must register and pay for their students. Interested parents/caregivers, please contact your districts
  • 1 to 2 counselor/aide to student ratio; 1:1 services are not available for this program unless provided by the district
  • Campers provide their own brown bag lunches, Camp Cheerful provides a small snack in the afternoon (popsicles, fruit, a bag of chips, etc.)
  • We do not provide transportation
  • Campers work daily with the Intervention Specialist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Language Pathologist per the IEP
