School aged boys and girls with a permanent lower body limitation play competitive wheelchair basketball in our year-round Junior Wheelchair Cavaliers Basketball program. The team is part of the Midwest Conference, run by the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. Each year, the team travels to play in several weekend tournaments. In the 2019, our team was undefeated at the Turnstone Fright in the Fort in Fort Wayne, IN and finished the 2019 – 2020 season ranked 10th nationally. We have had two players earn college scholarships to compete in college wheelchair basketball!
The Junior Wheelchair Cavaliers Basketball program is made possible through our partnerships with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Invacare Top End.
